A collaborative process

Supporting you to support your clients

Counselling and psychotherapy supervision within a person-centred framework

Are you a counsellor or psychotherapist seeking supervision that prioritises your growth, self‑awareness, and wellbeing alongside ethical and effective practice?

I offer individual counselling supervision grounded in the Person‑Centred Approach, providing a supportive, empathic, and non‑judgemental space in which to reflect on your work and professional development.

Central to my supervision practice is the development of a trusting and collaborative relationship. Supervision with me offers space to:

reflect thoughtfully on your client work and therapeutic relationships

explore your emotional responses, process dynamics, and use of self in practice

consider ethical questions, professional dilemmas, and areas of uncertainty

attend to your wellbeing, sustainability, and development as a practitioner

I work with both trainee and experienced practitioners. Supervision is shaped around your individual learning needs, professional context, and stage of development, with the aim of supporting reflective practice, self‑awareness, and high standards of client care.

Years of experience in Higher Education has given me great insight about the challenges a student may face while in training. I regularly facilitate supervision groups on the different Programs.

    For Qualified practitioners

I offer my years of experience as counsellor and psychotherapist and the grounding of my theoretical knowledge as a foundation for our work together.

Training future counsellors and psychotherapists presents its unique set of challenges: I will help you navigate the attachment process between trainers and trainees and will support you in supporting your students.

How I work in supervision

My supervision practice is primarily informed by the Tudor and Worrall Person‑Centred model of supervision. I also draw thoughtfully on other supervision models where this feels supportive and appropriate, bringing flexibility and responsiveness to our work together. Alongside my clinical experience, I bring a strong commitment to the person‑centred approach and a sense of humour where it feels helpful and human.

My aim is to support you not only in the therapist–client process, but also in the wider realities of professional life. This can include accompanying you from your earliest training experiences, through developing policies and preparing for private practice, and continuing alongside you as your work becomes more established.

As someone who works in academia, I value ongoing learning and staying engaged with current research in counselling and psychotherapy. I bring this developing knowledge into supervision in a reflective and grounded way, in service of practice rather than theory alone.

Counselling and Psychotherapy supervision for trainers and trainees

I am an accredited Diploma‑level trainer with COSCA and hold Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE), which enables me to offer qualified training supervision for counselling trainers.

I also have extensive experience as a tutor on postgraduate Person‑Centred counselling programmes and undergraduate counselling skills training. This gives me a strong understanding of the challenges and demands of professional training, and I am happy to offer supervision to trainees at a reduced rate.
