How Long Does an Engagement Last?
Therapy is unique to each person. We will tailor your sessions to your individual needs.
What is my highest qualification?
I have been conferred a Master of Science in Person-Centred Counselling with Commendation by the University of Aberdeen.
I am currently studying for a Professional Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Chester.
What do I specialise in?
Since qualifying, I have developed in-depth expertise in working with individuals who attended boarding school, exploring the lasting emotional and relational impacts this experience can have on ex-boarders and those close to them.
My academic and clinical work also reflects a strong interest in cultural and linguistic identity. I have published research on bilingualism in psychotherapy and have extensive experience supporting immigrants. As an immigrant myself, I bring a personal understanding of the complexities of living in a country different from one’s place of birth and navigating life in a second language.
A significant and growing focus of my practice is working with neurodivergent clients. I have substantial experience supporting individuals with a range of neurodiversities, and my most recent academic work is dedicated to deepening this understanding. I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that is respectful, inclusive, and responsive to neurodivergent ways of experiencing the world.
What languages do I offer counselling and supervision in?
I speak both English and Italian fluently and am trained to work therapeutically with interpreters. This allows me to support clients who may feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language, and to ensure that language is not a barrier to accessing meaningful therapeutic work.
